Hairbows, Hairbows, HAIRBOWS!!

I found a super easy tutorial for felt hairbows on my fave site, Pinterest.  I did however omit the sewing-up-the-center step, as I feel there is no need for this step.  I simply accordian folded the felt rectangle and hot glued the center strip around the gathered section.  Then I slipped an alligator clip into the center part and voila! I have a cute hairbow!!

I've been doing...crafts!

Sorry it's been a few weeks since my last post.  I've had a busy time with doctor's appointments and Valentine's Day and everything else, but I've been busy with my crafts, too! So, the next few posts will be dedicated to each of those crafts in which I have been creating.  Enjoy!!

Yard Sale Find

Yesterday I went to a yard sale (yes, on a Tuesday) and found this nice, heavy silver chain necklace.  I paid a whopping $1 for it!  I knew the intentions I had for it as soon as I laid eyes on it - beads!  So, I spruced it up with some pink and white beads I found at my local WalMart for $2.50 and here is my final project!

Flower Power

This newly painted plaque took me a total of about 4 hours today.  It is painted on canvas with acrylic paints.  I got this idea from a handmade bookmark I saw on none other than Pinterest

Valentine's Day

Yes, it's that time of year again.  Stores are busting to the seams with oodles of heart-shaped candies of every kind imaginable, and stuffed animals take over the aisles.  If you are like me, you can never seem to find a gift for your spouse amid all the red and white.  So, you opt for something of the handmade nature.  I came across this idea via Pinterest, and thus made it as a heartfelt gift for my hubby this year.

Monogram Tree

Might I start off by saying that I am ADDICTED to Pinterest!  It is an awesome site filled with ideas from all around the web.  My favorite is the Arts and Crafts section, naturally.  I have come accross so many crafty ideas of things I would love to make in the near future.  The one I am going to share with you today is a Monogram Tree.  Painted with acrylic paints on a small canvas, you then add button 'leaves'.  Pictured above is my finished project.

Fizzet Creations Greeting Cards

Fizzet Creations is my own line of greeting cards officially started in 2004.  The cards are simple, yet elegant and have heartfelt wording.  They vary from Birthday, Anniversary, and Thank You to New Baby, Get Well and Just Because, as well as Holidays.  Appearing on the front of each card is Fizzet, a small little fluffball with a big heart.  He is destined to "Brighten Someone's Day".
